The general practitioners and the orthodontic service in Norway

Orthodontics seems to be a well-established dental speciality in Norway, as almost all general practitioners refer patients for orthodontic treatment. There is general agreement that the results are good, even if about 50 per cent see iatrogenic effects of the treatment occasionally. The demand for orthodontic service seems to be well covered in most parts of the country.
