Sources of error in measurements from cephalometric radiographs

Radiographic and tracing errors in cephalometric measurements were studied using a nested analysis of variance on tracings of duplicate cephalometric radiographs of 24 subjects. Tracing errors reflected the difficulties of landmark identification while radiographic errors were small enough to be disregarded.
