This is the second edition of a well-known orthodontic text and illustrates a large and varied number of cases. These are supported with commentary on almost all aspects of cleft care. This is extremely useful for any aspiring orthodontist who wishes to work in the field of cleft lip and palate. A number of the illustrations are very dated, but this reflects the length of time the author has been working in this field, while some illustrations (e.g. Figure 38.15) would probably be better left out of the text altogether. There are some really excellent contributors to this edition of the book and any cleft lip and palate unit should acquire a copy as a reference text.
